Check out My New Site

This website was a great way to get used to the whole blogging thing but was restrictive in what I could do with design, layout and adding cool real estate information so I signed on with a new host.  Still, yes still, working out the kinks, but I really like where it is going.  Please check it out.

Two new babies!

Melissa and Lucy

Mary Kate and Kayda
Stopped by Abington Hospital on June 30th to say hello to my new niece Lucy Anna McDevitt.  My brother Johnny and his wife Melissa of Erdenheim welcomed their third child to the fam that includes their twin 3 yr old girls Sam and Maddie.  After my visit with Melissa and Lucy, I ran down the hall to say hello to Melissa's sister Mary Kate and her new baby Kayda.  Yes, Melissa and Mary Kate had their new babies on the same day at the same hospital.  Isn't that great?

New Site Coming Soon...

It has been a long time since my last post because I have been working on a new design plan for my blog.  It will give me a lot of the features I need for photos, videos etc.  The problem is that I don't know how to use it!  It has been totally frustrating but fun becasue I am working with some experts that are helping.  I am excited about the new blog coming but while it's under construction, I am back to using this one.  Stay tuned...

Like I NEED more jewerly...

Headed over to Jen Serroni's of Flourtown last weekend for a glass of wine, some good company and two pairs of new earrings :)  Jen hosted a jewerly party for her friend Tiffany Hendel of Premier Designs Jewelry.  Honestly, I needed nothing but gave the catalogue a quick glance and realized I do "need" new gold hoops and I also "need" some black, ropey sort of sparkly dangling earrings.
Another fun night in the neighborhood:)

Ahhhh...the beach!

Spring Lake, NJ
Took a little trip this weekend to visit with my family at their house in Spring Lake, New Jersey. Only an hour and 15 minutes from us.  It's a great day trip! I took this picture at 10:00 AM.  I love the beach in the morning :)

Backyard BBQ in Oreland on Saturday

John and Tracey Kiefner with Lauren, Ella and Grant
Ali and Tracy Lewis with Lindsay, Ry Ry and Caitlin
Matt and Whitney Ellis with Bauer
John Wilson and his Brother
Whitney and Matt Ellis of Niessen Rd in Oreland invited me to their neighborhood BBQ on Saturday Night.   After a long, hard, stressful, hot, busy and strenuous day of well...golf, the husbands joined their families for a nice get together.  The kids had a great time playing with each other and Bower (the dog) in Matt and Whitney's backyard, which, by the way is very nice with a mature garden surrounding the perimeter and a new stone walk.
(I should've taken a picture but I am still just an amateur blogger)

The food was awesome and I actually did take a picture of that but for a very specific reason: COCO POPS!

COCO POPS
Apparently they can only be bought at Wegman's or the Shop 'n Bag in the Dresher Shopping Center but they might be worth the trip.  Each disc is 16 calories and can be broken up into 4 pieces at 4 calories each.  When served with Hummus, Olives and Shrimp Cocktail, see below:

It can make a really healthy and tasty appetizer.  The cracker has flavor but not so much that it overpowers the dip.  I really enjoyed it.  Thanks for inviting me to the party guys!

P.S. At her request, not shown is Lisa Wilson.  Neighbor, creator of these apps and founder of the COCO POP!!!

For Laurentia Bowden...

Friends and Neighbors
Monica, Grace and Laura Bowden
<><>
St Gen's Teachers
Co-Leaders of Troop 7264 Geri Kotch and Julianne Bruno
Halligan's was packed tonight as family, friends, neighbors, classmates, teachers, and the Girl Scout Troop of Springfield Township came out to honor the memory of of Laurentia Bowden. Tonight, eating at Halligan's from 6-9 meant that 10% of your bill would go towards the purchase of a bench bearing the name of Mrs. Bowden and for a tree to be placed at Cisco Park in loving memory of Laurentia. Co-Scout Leaders Julianne Bruno and Geri Kotch led their Girl Scout Troop 7264 to gather the community for this very special event. Laurentia was a co-leader with Julianne and Geri and in speaking with them it is clear that Laurentia was a special person whose influence on them and their girls is truly missed. But through them, her memory will forever be remembered at Cisco Park where many of the Girl Scout events took place.

Donations are always welcome and came be made to:

Jammin for a Cause

On Saturday Night PJ Whelihan's in Blue Bell was host of The 3rd Annual Music for Milagre Festival.  The place was hopping as local Bands, The Manny Trio, Jonathan Roberts, The Ball Pointed Pens, The 309 and The Dodge City Junkies lent their time and talents to raise money for this very specal cause.  Event coordinators, Lauren Sullivan of Oreland, Alex Viele of Erdenheim and president of Milagre School, Tricia Cuce, hold this event dear and are grateful to all who generously support this important school.

Graduation Day is Almost Here

Bishop McDevitt Class of 2010 graduate, Allison Pollock celebrated this milestone with family, friends and neighbors on Saturday at her parents house (Chuck and Tara) on Allen Rd. in Oreland.  Allison was beaming as she talked about her plans to head to Wildwood this summer and then off to Catholic University in D.C. this Fall.  Ahh, remember when?  I digress...

Great party Chuck and Tara!  Your are a wonderful  Mom and Dad :)
