Planning a Block Party?

If your neighborhood is planning a summer
block party, please be advised that a Block
Permit must be obtained from the Police
Department. Applications must be received
a minimum of ten (10) days in
advance of the event. If a street is to be
closed for the event, the application must be
accompanied by a petition signed by at least
75% of the households on the block. If approved
by the Chief of Police, the Public
Works Department will deliver barricades to
designated locations a day or two before the
party. Please contact the Police Department
